Open Faculty Positions in Physics and Biology

The Department has two faculty openings this semester.

One is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Biology position to begin August 2013. The successful candidate will teach major courses in physiology as well as teach general biology, immunology or biostatistics and supervise undergraduate and master’s level student research projects and internships. Screening will begin on November 15, 2012 and continue until the position is filled.

tenure-track Assistant Professor in Biology:

The second position is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics. This is a one-year appointment. The successful candidate will have interest teaching in an interdisciplinary context and is expected to teach physics effectively at the lower division. We seek a motivated, energetic individual who will be focused on students but can also fulfill a variety of other responsibilities. The successful candidate will teach introductory algebra-based and calculus-based physics lecture and labs to primarily biology and chemistry majors. A demonstrated interest and ability in teaching courses relevant to the position is required. All candidates should apply before December 15, 2012.
